In the Name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful Image
The San Francisco Bay Area office of the Council on American- Relations (CAIR-SFBA) and Bay Area Mosques invite the public to an interfaith Ramadan Iftar at a mosque near you! With the blessed month of fasting approaching, please mark your calendars for the weekend of September 29th-30th.
Ramadan is a lunar month in the Islamic Calendar in which Muslims fast from first light until sunset. The fast is another method of self-purification.
"Ramadan Iftar" is an outreach effort designed to enhance understanding of Islam and to help Americans of all faiths meet their Muslim neighbors by taking part in a complimentary Ramadan "Iftar," or fast-breaking meal.
We urge Muslims to invite their friends, co- workers, interfaith leader, public officials and neighbors to share the experience of this month of enlightment.
TO REGISTER AND FOR PARTICIPATING MOSQUES:
visit Ramadan Iftar. Please RSVP by September 24th.
For more information, please contact CAIR-SFBA at nocal@cair.com or call (408) 986-9874.
CAIR, America's largest Islamic civil liberties group, has 33 offices and chapters nationwide and in Canada. Its mission is to promote justice, enhance the understanding of Islam, and empower American Muslims.
