On Monday July 21st, ADC Michigan advisory board member, Attorney Ihsan Alkhatib, participated in a forum at Wayne State University, organized by WSU and the Lebanese American University.

A group of Middle Eastern students on a State Department Middle East Partnership Initiative sponsored trip were in attendance as Attorney Alkhatib spoke about the role of ADC Michigan in defending the civil rights and liberties of Arab Americans and facilitating their civic participation.

Other participants included Rana Elmir from the ACLU in Michigan, Derek Blackmon of the Detroit branch NAACP, and a representative from the Center for Chicano-Boricua Studies at Wayne State.
