The World Lebanese Cultural Union is organizing the election of Miss Lebanon Emigrant 2008 in several countries of the World. This event is organized in collaboration with the President of Miss Lebanon Emigrant Committee Mr. Antoine Maksoud and the Minister of Tourism of Lebanon Eng. Joe Sarkis.

The requirements of the contestant must be Lebanese or comes from a Lebanese origin, must be between ages of 17& 27 years old. Contestant must have a high college education level and grade point average. The contestant that represents each country will be chosen also because she has good manners & reputation, and is Bi-Lingual.

The elected Miss of each country of the Diaspora will participate to the election of Miss Lebanon Emigrant 2008, on August 13th 2008 in Lebanon on LBC.

The winner for Miss Lebanon USA for first time will be Miss Lebanon Michigan, Rima Fakih. Rima Fakih has a double major in Economics and Business Management at the University of Michigan. “My heart resides in Lebanon” was the outline of her competition.

Twenty two year old, Rima Fakih, daughter of Hussein and Nadia Fakih, Sister of Rabih, Rana, Rouba, and Rami Fakih will be representing all Arab Americans in USA. Her support from Arab Americans in Michigan will be carried along with her as she tours Lebanon and meets with the president of Lebanon and other leaders.
