Those are just some of the accomplishments of Dr. Michael Ellis DeBakey, who died in Houston, Texas earlier this month at age 99.
The Lebanese American physician personifies the AANM's Making an Impact exhibit, where his achievements are featured.
A memorial service for DeBakey was held today at Houston's Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart.
