Last Tuesday, June 19, 2008, Building Respect in Diverse Groups to Enhance Sensitivity (BRIDGES) held its bi-monthly meeting with members of the Arab-American community and representatives from various government agencies. The meeting addressed several topics of concern in the Arab-American community, including issues regarding the U.S. Census, the Department of Justice and the Department of Homeland Security.  Bridges has been a model forum addressing issues of mutual concern to community and government and has been receiving international recognition.
