Last weekend, ADC Michigan held its kick-off initiative to account for Arab-Americans in Michigan, as part of our ongoing effort to be counted and make an impact on the 2008 elections. 

During the International Arab Festival, ADC Michigan volunteers successfully signed up over 550 community members who showed an interest in making their voice heard as Arab-Americans. ADC salutes the many volunteers and interns who assisted in making this effort a great success.  Their hard work and dedication over the course of the three day festival was truly commendable.

ADC Michigan calls on the local community to join in this effort by registering and urging others to do the same. To be included in the registry, please go to http://www.adcmichigan.org/register.asp. Please note that the information we receive is completely secure and will not be shared.  “The purpose of this campaign is to mobilize the community and aid in the advancement of Arab-Americans in the current political climate,” said Moe Yassine, ADC Michigan Advisory Board Member and Coordinator of this initiative.
