Five students will be arriving in August for the upcoming school year from various Middle East countries. These students are exceptional scholars and are part of the Youth for Exchange and Study (YES) program that was started by the U.S. State Department after 9/11 to build bonds of friendship between the U.S. and the predominantly Muslim countries of the Middle East. Here is a link to learn more about the YES program: http://exchanges.state.gov/education/citizens/students/programs/ Host families are volunteers who provide meals and a loving home; the students have their own health insurance and spending money to cover all of their other expenses. Below are the profiles of the five YES students needing host families for the upcoming school year. ASPECT Foundation is a 23 year old well-regarded non profit, please browse the website, http://www.aspectfoundation.org/ Families wanting to consider students from other countries can click on Student Profiles and then on the blue region of the U.S. map to see all of the students arriving to our region who also need host families.
