TV SPECIAL I'M FEATURED IN SUNDAY NIGHT!

Hey friends: I just wanted to let you know about an upcoming one hour special airing this Sunday, May 11 on PBS about the rise of Middle Eastern and Muslim-American comedians. The special is part of PBS's critically acclaimed series "America at a Crossroads" and is entitled "Stand Up: Muslim American Comics Come of Age." The documentary followed around 5 comedians: Ahmed Ahmed, Maysoon Zayid, Tissa Hami, Azhar Usman and myself. It begins with us not having TV credits and struggling in the clubs but follows us through our recent successes in the industry. (My Mom is in it which is perfect that it airs on Mothers' Day!)

The show airs Sunday on the PBS affiliates across the country. In most markets it airs at 10:00 -11:00 PM (such as NY, LA, and DC) But in Chicago it airs at 9:00 PM and in a few other markets its on at different times so please check your local PBS listings for the exact show time.
