BTU Industries Chairman and CEO addresses USAEF on U.S.-Arab Energy Relationship and Wealth Reallocation Forum event
The American Middle East Economic Affairs Committee (AMEEAC) is pleased to welcome Mr. Wael Al-Mazeedi, CEO & Chairman of BTU Industries as a keynote speaker at the USAEF. BTU is a unique private equity group whose goal is to pioneer a universally accessible and sustainable energy infrastructure, to transform the global energy industry into an engine for socially and environmentally responsible economic growth and technological advancement. In 2006, Mr. Al-Mazeedi was named the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur in the energy category for his outstanding achievements in entrepreneurship. Mr. Al-Mazeedi will be speaking about the opportunities and responsibilities of the U.S.-Arab energy relationship.
Following his keynote address, the USAEF will host a panel discussion entitled The U.S.-Arab Energy Relationship and Wealth Reallocation: Bilateral Opportunities, Global Responsibilities and the New Liquidity in the Middle East. Dr. Daniel Yergin, Chairman of the Cambridge Energy Research Associates, will moderate the discussion. Dr. Yergin is a Pulitzer Prize winner and a highly respected authority on energy policy and international politics and economics. He is also Executive Vice President of IHS, the parent company of CERA. In addition to addressing the growing energy requirements, panelists will explore the implications of the U.S.-Arab energy relationship, the new trends of wealth reallocation, U.S. gas and oil demands and the Arab energy producers ability to meet the global energy demands.
