ADC recently joined the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC), along with other community-based organizations, in presenting a joint letter to the Department of Justice regarding the case of Dr. Sami Al-Arian, the former University of Florida professor who was acquitted on terrorism-related charges in 2005. The letter calls on federal prosecutors to honor the plea agreement that was agreed upon by releasing Dr. Al-Arian for deportation on the date his sentence is served.
