HOL YP has teamed up with the Lebanese Trade Mission of the International Executive Services Corps. The primary objective of this mission is to allow Lebanese ICT companies a better understanding of the American market and develop realistic U.S. market entry plans. The Lebanese Trade Mission is hosting an event called Accessing International Markets through Information.
We ask for your support for AIM-IT 's, Accessing International Markets through Information Technology, hosting of an information exchange between Silicon Valley ICT companies and Lebanese ICT companies November 27-30 in the San Francisco Bay Area. The purpose for this exchange is to connect Lebanese companies with US companies so that both might learn what it takes to succeed in their respected markets. We are looking for individuals who might be able to assist in this project. So far we have appointments set up with large corporations such as Intel and Cisco but we would like to connect our delegation with smaller companies in the bay area. United States Trade Mission for the Lebanese ICT Sector
AIM-IT (Accessing International Markets through Information Technology) (aimit.iesc.org), a program funded by USAID and managed by IESC (International Executive Service Corps), announces the organization of a U.S. trade mission for Lebanese ICT companies. Objectives: The primary objective is to allow Lebanese ICT companies better understand the American market and develop realistic U.S. market entry plans. Secondarily, to inform Lebanese firms about potential business opportunities in the American ICT market and facilitate introductions to potential business partners in that market. Lastly, the mission aims to educate the U.S. ICT sector about the advantages of doing business with Lebanon and pave the way for sales linkages between the two.
Goal: Open new lines of communication between Lebanese and American ICT sectors that will result in exports of Lebanese technology services to the U.S.
Who: Seven companies in the ICT sector in Lebanon that are highly interested in doing business with the U.S. ICT sector and can demonstrate competitiveness within that market.
Software developers and software resellers/system integrators are being selected by AIM-IT and Cisco based on the results of a survey assessing their US market compatibility.
Final confirmations will be based on a study of their potential for success in, and level of commitment to, the U.S. market.
What: Five days of meetings with a) Lebanese-American ICT professionals, b) Software development business experts, c) Major players in the U.S. software industry, d) Small and Mid-sized Software firms, and e) Industry associations.
Wednesday and Thursday afternoons will be left open for companies to schedule individual meetings with contacts made prior to the trip and earlier in the week.
