CAIR-LA Congratulates Calif. Muslim Appointed to DHS Post , Arif Alikhan will serve as Assistant Secretary for Policy Development
(LOS ANGELES, CA., 5/6/09) - The Greater Los Angeles Area chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-LA) today congratulated Arif Alikhan on his recent appointment as Assistant Secretary for Policy Development in the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
Prior to joining DHS, Alikhan was a career prosecutor for the U.S. Department of Justice and later served as Deputy Mayor for Homeland Security and Public Safety for the City of Los Angeles.
"Arif Alikhan has been instrumental in advancing my administration's central priorities of preparing Los Angeles to respond to natural disasters and against the threat of terrorism, increasing public safety, and putting 1,000 new LAPD officers on our streets," said City of Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa in a statement.
"Congratulations to Mr. Ali Khan on this well-deserved appointment," said CAIR-LA Executive Director Hussam Ayloush. "Mr. Alikhan's new position reflects his and the community's dedication to helping preserve the security of our country. The American Muslim community can be proud of him."
In the past few weeks, American Muslim leaders have been urging the Obama administration to be inclusive and to reflect the diversity of our nation as he selects the most qualified public servants to fill important positions.

During the WWII we did not trust Japaneese residing in USA, placed them into the Internment Centers. We deported thousands of Mexicans BACK TO Mexico out of USA. During the COLD WAR we isolated ALL SOVIET citizens comming to the USA Fifty years ago we had 12 Islam santuaries in the USA, today we have 1,200.On Jan 20, 2009, just installed new president of the USA, signed an Order, to allow 20,000 HAMAS fighters(suicide bombers) to come to USA and provided $20,3 million for their assistance. Wishing the terrorists will like us will only get us killed. We must pay close attention to those who observe the muslim faith. Not all muslims are terrorists but ALL TERRORISTS WERE MUSLIM. So closer scrutiny is the reasonable thing to do. I've known muslims but no, they were not fanatical . Beware if this pc crap of trying to appease the terrorists or "try to determine "why they don't like us". WHO CARES> I do not like the terrorists because they kill people with bombs, hijacked airplanes and beheading. Anyone who has any doubts about them, watch a video of Nick Berg , Johnson,and the several others etc being beheaded. I watched two of the many beheading videos. Actually watched the 1st Nick Berg and and only half the Johnson. Not for pleasure but to understand the depravity of the terrorists. I could not stomach its brutality anymore but I will forever remember the viciousness and the screams of the victims. Do not appease them, Kill them. The world does not need nor deserve them.

So we just lost 13 Americans at the hands of a Muslim American (Maj Nidal Malik Hasan) He had served our country for years without incident. If we knew the final outcome, he would have never been allowed to serve! Quote, "Of course not all Muslims are terrorists; but all terrorists are Muslims."
So appointing someone like Alikhan to Homeland Security does what? Shows American Muslims that we do not hate them? I wonder what the other 300 million plus Americans think about this? I wonder if they feel safer? humm, well I'm one of the 300 Million and I'm scared to death, but maybe I'm just a radical extremist! And not a True American?

To TSC: Timothy McVeigh did not act because of any religious belief. People who think Islam is a peaceful religion are badly mistaken and ingnorant of what the Koran says, and it says to slay the infidel (that is, anyone who is not a muslim), to make no friend of Christians and Jews. And, people make a mistake in believing that Allah is god. Allah is not got. Allah is an evil, mean spirited messenger from the devil who delights in leading people astray so that they may suffer later. THAT, folks is also written in the Koran many, many, many times.
