Arab American Institute to Feature National Political Figures, Prominent Commentators at 2007 National Leadership Conference, Dearborn, Michigan Conference to Bring Together Arab American Organizations and Leaders
The Arab American Institute (AAI) will host its 2007 National Leadership Conference, "Our Voice, Our Future: Yalla Vote '08," from Oct. 26 to Oct. 28 in Dearborn, Mich. The conference will bring together leading Arab American organizations and hundreds of Arab American leaders and activists to shape the Imagecommunity's agenda for the 2008 presidential election. AAI has extended invitations to all Democratic and Republican presidential candidates to address the conference participants. The 2003 conference featured eight of the nine Democratic presidential candidates and the 2004 Bush-Cheney national campaign chairman.
WHAT: AAI's 2007 National Leadership Conference, "Our Voice, Our Future: Yalla Vote '08," held in conjunction with the annual conference of the National Network for Arab American Communities.
WHO: Arab American leaders and community organizations; prominent political figures and commentators, including Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean, Democratic presidential candidate Rep. Dennis Kucinich of Ohio, Sen. Debbie Stabenow (D-Mich.), Rep. Charles Boustany (R) of Louisiana, pollster John Zogby, and Michigan Democratic National Committee member Debbie Dingell.
WHEN: October 26-28, 2007, in Dearborn, Michigan
Events begin at noon on Saturday, October 26 and continue throughout the weekend until 2:00 pm on Sunday, October 28.
COST: $225 for AAI members, includes all meals and events; $275 for non-AAI members, includes all meals, events and cost of a year-long membership; $75 for students, includes all meals and events.
