The Lebanese American Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of Mrs. Karen Srour, LAF’s first Executive Director.  Karen brings a wealth of experience in the areas of non-profit organization management and charitable fundraising. We are confident that Karen will be a valuable asset in helping LAF to realize its goal of building the first House of Lebanon® around the United States. Karen’s Personal Statement and Accomplishments:I welcome the opportunity to be the first Executive Director for the House of Lebanon. First introduced to Lebanon, by my husband, Dr. Raja Srour, I quickly fell in love with the Lebanese people, their gracious hospitality and the amazing cuisine. My enthusiasm for food drove me to learn as much as I could about the preparation of these delicious and interesting dishes. Ultimately, I received an opportunity to host a cooking show – Calling All Cooks on TV’s Food Network and the featured recipes were Lebanese. In fact, you can still call up my recipes for Lebanese Mezza on their website -- and the overall rating is five (5) stars! With more than 29 years experience coordinating fund raising events for nonprofit organizations and political candidates, coupled with my strong knowledge of boards, donors and volunteers, I know my strengths and abilities will be a strong match as the Executive Director of the House of Lebanon.
