Arabesque Dance Co. Bellydance - ISIS
Isis was presented in 2002 with original music commissioned and composed for Isis by the award winning Dr. George Sawa and Richard Feren. This choreography, by Yasmina Ramzy, takes the audience on a journey through the different chambers of the ancient temple of Isis. It begins with a procession to the Nile and finally reaches the Inner Sanctum where the Goddess Isis resides. For the live music segments, ancient Egyptian instruments such as the double reed arghul and the harp become part of the elaborate scenes which feature 35 performers in total.
