My dear compatriots,
As you know, I have just taken up my duties as Ambassador of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria to the United States of America. The noble mission which, in that capacity, makes it incumbent upon me to represent our country and to promote its interests in the United States is, to me, inseparable from that of serving the Algerian community in this country.
Consequently, you can be certain that listening to you and your preoccupations, sparing no effort to meet such expectations, and supporting your efforts in a sustained manner will be among my top priorities.
With that in mind, I have decided, as a first step, to give the Consular Affairs section of the Embassy more significant human and material resources and enable it to better serve you.
It is also in the same spirit that, in the coming days, I plan to meet with representatives of the Algerian community to start with them a constructive dialogue on how to better satisfy your interests and to help our country benefit from the considerable potentialities that our community offers.

Algeria has reached today a crucial phase of its history. Having turned the painful page of past trials, it has been resolutely engaged over the last ten years on the road to stability, progress and prosperity. And, naturally, it needs the support of all its children.
Having achieved successful integration through hard work and perseverance, the Algerian community living in the United States can play a major role in the promotion of Algeria’s interests in this country, by enhancing its image and also by getting more significantly involved in its domestic development.
I am convinced that by joining hands in the spirit of a fruitful and responsible dialogue, we will definitely be making a real contribution towards enhancing the prestige and image of our country in the United States and to the national renovation endeavor being implemented for the benefit and well-being of our people.
ﺇﻠﻰ أبناء جاليتنا ﺍﻷﻋﺯﺍﺀ
كما تعلمون باشرت مؤخّرا مهامي كسفير للجمهورية الجزائرية الدّيمقراطية الشّعبية بالولايات المتّحدة الأمريكية.
ولا شكّ لديّ في أنّ المهمّة النبيلة المنوطة بي في تمثيل الجزائر ورعاية مصالحها تقتضي أيضا أن أكون في خدمة الجالية الجزائرية بهذا البلد.
ومن هذا المنطلق، فإنّي أؤكّد لكم على حرصي على إعطاء أولوية تامّة ﻠلتّكفل بانشغالات جاليتنا وسأبذل ما في وسعي للإستجابة لتطلّعاتها ودعم جهودها.
وعلى هذا الأساس، قرّرت بداية أن أمدّ الدّائرة القنصلية بإمكانيات مادّية وﺒشرية أكبرحتّى يتسنّى لها الإضطلاع على وجه أفضل بمهامها في خدمة مواطنينا.
و على هذا الأساس أيضا أنوي الإلتقاء خلال ﺍﻷيام القادمة برؤساء الجمعيات الجزائرية بالولايات المتّحدة للشّروع معهم في حوار بنّاء حول ما يمكن القيام به للتّكفل بقضايا جاليتنا وتمكين بلادنا من الإستفادة من الكفاءات العالية التّي تزخر بها.
كما كلّفت السيّد جلال قاسمي الحسني، الكاتب الدّبلوماسي بالسّفارة، بأن يكون همزة الوصل بيني وبين أبناء جاليتنا. وبالإمكان الإتّصال بشكل دائم بالسيّد قاسمي على العنوان الإلكتروني أسفله.
إن الجزائر تمرّ بمرحلة حاسمة من تاريخها وهي وقد تجاوزت المحنة التّي ألمّت بها فإنّها ركبت خلال العشرسنوات ﺍﻷخيرة وبكل عزم مسارﺍﻹﺴﺘﻘﺭﺍر والرقي والإزدهار وهي اليوم في حاجة إلى جميع أبنائها.
وفي هذا الصّدد، بوسع الجالية الجزائرية التّي تعدّ بفضل ما بذلت من جهود وما أبدت من تفان نموذجا للنّجاح أن تلعب دورا طلائعيا في الدّفاع عن مصالح البلاد بالولايات المتّحدة وتحسين صورتها و في مسار التّنمية بها.
وأنا على يقين من أنّه إذا تضافرت جهودنا وأرسينا في ما بيننا حوارا مثمرا، سنتمكّن من إعطاء إشعاع أكبر للجزائر في هذا البلد والمشاركة بشكل أكثر فاعلية في نهضتها بما يعود بالخير كلّه على شعبنا

Chers compatriotes,
Comme vous le savez, je viens de prendre mes fonctions en tant qu’Ambassadeur de la République Algérienne Démocratique et Populaire aux Etats-Unis d’Amérique.
La noble mission qui, à ce titre, m’incombe de représenter notre pays et de promouvoir ses intérêts aux Etats-Unis est, à mes yeux, indissociable de celle de servir la communauté algérienne dans ce pays.
Être à l’écoute de notre communauté et de ses préoccupations, ne ménager aucun effort pour répondre à ses attentes et la soutenir dans toutes ses entreprises seront ainsi, vous pouvez en être sûr(e), des priorités absolues de mon action.
C’est dans cet esprit que j’ai décidé, dans un premier temps, de doter la section consulaire de moyens matériels et humains plus conséquents afin qu’elle s’acquitte mieux de sa mission au service de nos compatriotes.
C’est dans le même esprit que je compte rencontrer, dans les prochains jours, les dirigeants du mouvement associatif algérien pour engager avec eux un dialogue constructif sur les moyens à mettre en œuvre pour mieux prendre en charge les intérêts de notre communauté et faire bénéficier notre pays des potentialités considérables qu’elle recèle.

Aujourd’hui, l’Algérie est à une phase cruciale de son histoire. Ayant tourné la page douloureuse de l’épreuve qu’elle a endurée, elle a résolument pris, ces dix dernières années, le chemin de la stabilité, du progrès et de la prospérité, et c’est donc tout naturellement qu’elle a besoin de l’apport de tous ses enfants.
La communauté algérienne établie aux Etats-Unis qui, à force de travail et de persévérance, a admirablement réussi son intégration peut, à cet égard, jouer un rôle de premier plan, en promouvant davantage les intérêts de l’Algérie dans ce pays, en rehaussant son image de marque mais aussi en participant de façon plus marquée à son processus de développement interne.
Ma conviction est qu’en conjuguant nos efforts dans un esprit de dialogue responsable et fécond, nous pourrons contribuer plus efficacement au rayonnement de notre pays aux Etats-Unis et à son entreprise de redressement pour le plus grand bien de notre peuple. |
