"Muslim Unity Day™" began as an idea from a local Bay Area Muslim who saw a need for Muslims to have a day to enjoy at California Amusement Parks as other religious and ethnic groups do.
Thus began a quest to form a coalition of as many different Islamic and Muslim organizations as possible to participate in this day of enjoyment and Unity for the Muslims.
We hope and pray that Allah (SWT) will make this event a success and InshAllah it can continue to grow and develop into much more than a day of Unity for the Muslims, but a symbol and lifetime of peace, brotherhood, prosperity, cooperation, coalition, friendship and Unity for all Muslims across the world! Alhamdullilah, Muslim Unity Day™ 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, AND 2009 were great successes. We had approximately 4,000 Muslims from all over Northern California and beyond attend each year.
This year MUD will be on Saturday September 18th, 2010 at Great America in Santa Clara, CA, InshAllah.
